Serengeti
Endless plains, year-round big cat sightings and the Great Migration in Tanzania's most famous national park.
Mountain · Tanzania
Moshi sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 metres. On clear days the snow-capped summit rises above the town, and the lower slopes are covered in banana farms, coffee plantations and forest.
Day trips from Moshi include the Materuni Waterfall hike, which passes through Chagga villages and ends with a coffee-making experience, and visits to hot springs and the Kilimanjaro foothills. The town is also the base for climbing expeditions on Kilimanjaro itself.
Kilimanjaro International Airport is about 45 minutes away, so Moshi is a natural arrival or departure point for travellers who want to add a day of local culture and scenery to a safari.
January to March and June to October are the clearest and driest periods, with the best views of the summit. April and May are the wettest.
We do not have a published safari for Moshi & Kilimanjaro yet. Tell us your plans and we will build one.
